in the morning, fading to drizzle and breaking up, but staying dull
and damp. Extensive very low cloud, with fog over hills and around
coasts in the south-west. Largely dry for the Midlands and south-east
England, but rare sun. The far north of Scotland escapes largely dry.
Mostly cloudy with patchy drizzle for Ireland. A brisk southwesterly
breeze, strongest near the English Channel. Generally humid, highs
18 to 24C.
