Sun Aug 23: Monday High pressure resides over Britain, centred over the North
Sea. A fine day overall with plenty of sunshine and broken fair-weather
cloud. Some early mist patches clearing. A strong and gusty easterly
wind for southern regions of England and Wales, lighter winds toward
the north. Some high cloud builds in the far south. Small chance of
an isolated light shower in northeast Scotland by afternoon. An odd
showers southern Ireland. Pleasantly warm, highs 20 to 24C, warmest
in the south.
