Thursday A drier and brighter day across Spain albeit rather windy. Some showers affecting northern and northeast coasts here. Dry yet breezy across Portugal. Rather unsettled through the Balearic islands with heavy and thundery showers. Also unsettled with outbreaks of rain across Italy and the surrounding islands. Heavy rain affecting the Balkan States. Dry and fine across Greece and Turkey. Rain clearing France with drier and brighter weather developing behind. Still windy in the far east where rain will linger for longer. Much of the rain also clearing the Low Countries and Germany though in the blustery winds do expect some showers blowing across. A band of heavy rain pushing eastwards across Poland. Unsettled with outbreaks of rain across Switzerland and Austria. Wet and windy across Denmark once again, though the rain turning more showery as the day goes on. Gales and heavy rain across southern Sweden and south Finland, better conditions further north for both. Sunshine and showers for Norway. A band of heavy rain pushing across the Baltic States.
