A continuation of recent day's weather: hot sun south, cooler and
cloudy north with rain northwest. Good morning, High pressure persists
to the southwest of Cornwall, maintaining our weather right where
it has been for the past several days. Central and southern parts
of England and Wales will be often sunny and getting quite hot, high
temperatures reaching up to 32C in the southeast. Some high cloud
will weaken the sun at times. Northern England and Ireland will be
generally cloudier, and as such cooler, with occasional spells of
rain drifting into northwestern areas. The rain will probably be light
or drizzly in nature. Scotland is more often overcast with wet spells,
particularly in northwestern areas with extended steady falls. Quite
a breeze here too. Other high temperatures approach the high 20s in
central England, the low to mid 20s in Ireland and northern England,
to 16 or 17C in Scotland. Little change overnight, except perhaps
some clearer skies over Wales, England
, and southern Ireland; this should help things cool off a bit after
such a hot day. Continued patchy rain across Scotland with extended
falls in western areas and a brisk westerly breeze. Overnight lows
of 12 to 15C for most.
